The year was 1223, the Mongols were continuing there vast over take of Europe. In there crosshairs was the giant country of Russia. A Kievan Rus' army was about to take on their biggest challenge, the challenge was too much and the Mongols over ran them and the continued to march through Russia. By 1238 they had ended the Kievan Rus’ and only little influences remaned. In 1240 they demolished the city of Kiev and then moved on to Poland and hungry.
